Who am I? I'm Myles Wong, also known as Farly. I'm a 21 years old Game Developer & Designer, and study at UCSD with a major in ICAM (Interdisciplinary Computing and Arts Major), graduating in 2024. I've always had a fascination for video games, and they played a massive role in my life. If there's one thing I consider the most important, it's Games were made to be FUN. Creating a video game is a game on its own, a puzzle where you piece together different elements of design and gameplay. It is a balance, that requires consideration of who your audience is, and what your audience wants. I strive to be the best version of myself as a designer, developer, and artist. What do I do? I am passionate in making games, always looking to improve what I have, striving for gameplay that is engaging, interesting, and thought-provoking. I am not afraid of failure or criticism, but I am wise around consideration of others, and my time. (Mostly seen in my projects at UCSD or Game Jams with time constraints.) I'm a fast, fervent learner, offering many necessities for game development such as, -Knowledgeable in C++, Java, and Python. -Familiar with Game Engines such as Unity and Godot. -Experience with designing UI through personal projects and work experience. -Indulged in different forms of media presentation. (Ex. Integrating a video game into an art exhibit, transforming physical objects into gameplay.) -An avid fan of MANY genres, MOBA, Strategy, Turn-Based RPG, Roguelites, DCCG, FPS, and Base Builders. |
